What to Expect
The Hakone Museum of Art was built in 1952 and is an art museum centered on ceramics. Ceramic crafts ranging from Jomon earthenware to Satoto, Bizen, Tamba, Shigaraki are displayed, and ancient calligraphy works, watercolor paintings and porcelains of Japan, China and Korea are collected. The view from the art gallery overlooking Gora Park is beautiful in autumn.
