What to Expect
Ashizuri Marine Museum is located in Tatsukushi Bay, adjacent to Cape Ashizuri, where the Kuroshio Current first touches the Japanese archipelago, and exhibits 15,000 items representing approximately 350 species of various creatures that live in the rich ocean. In the ``Ashizuri Primeval Forest'' corner, be sure to check out the immersive exhibits using the latest technology, such as the environmental effects created by projection mapping and the ``Tatsukushi Bay Large Aquarium,'' a touching pool modeled after strange rocks. In addition, Ashizuri Kaiyokan is adjacent to Sakurahama Beach, and the beach is just one step away from the 1st floor terrace.
