Usage scope 6-Day Pass (6 consecutive days): Unlimited rides on trains and Shinkansen within the Tohoku and South Hokkaido regions. Redemption Process Please use the physical exchange voucher you received and your passport with a short-term visa to redeem the physical ticket at the designated station. The physical exchange voucher is valid for 90 days from the date of order. Designated redemption point: For more details, please refer to the official website: Check rail pass purchase and exchange locations | JR-EAST (jreast.co.jp) How to Reserve Seats Book seating using reserved seat ticket machines: You can use the reserved seat ticket machines at major JR East stations to book reserved seats on Shinkansen and Limited Express trains. Station booking: Visit JR East Travel Service Centers or JR Ticket Offices (Midori-no-Madoguchi) at major JR East stations within the pass area, present your JR Tohoku-South Hokkaido Rail Pass, and reserve your seating. Additionally, you can go to JR ticket offices (Midori-no-Madoguchi), etc., at major JR Hokkaido stations within the pass area to reserve seating. This pass is valid for 6 consecutive days of unlimited rides on trains and Shinkansen within the Tohoku and South Hokkaido regions. The JR PASS is only available to non-Japanese passport holders visiting Japan under a short-stay visa (e.g., tourist visa, business visa, multiple-entry tourist visa). Holders of long-term visas (e.g., student or work visas) are not eligible to purchase or use this pass. Each adult pass holder may bring up to two children (ages 15) free of charge. Additional children or those aged 6 and above require a separate child pass Child refers to children who are 6 to 11 years old at the time when the JAPAN RAIL PASS is used. (Persons who are 12 years and older are deemed to be adults.) The same passenger cannot purchase or redeem multiple identical passes for the same travel period. The exchange voucher is valid for 90 days from the date of order. It must be exchanged for the physical pass at designated JR East or JR Hokkaido exchange offices. When exchanging, you must present your passport with the short-term visa and the physical exchange voucher. The pass is non-transferable and can only be used by the person whose name appears on the exchange order. Lost, stolen, or damaged passes cannot be reissued, and no refunds will be provided after activation.
