The Jukkokutoge Cable Car is a 316m cable car that connects the Jukkokutoge Rest House to the summit, where there is a lookout point. On a clear day, you can enjoy a 360-degree view of Mt. Fuji, the Southern Alps, Suruga Bay, the Shonan coast, and the Miura Peninsula from the top of Jukkokutoge. If the weather is particularly good, you may even be able to see the Boso Peninsula in Chiba Prefecture and the five Izu islands.
What to Expect
Jukkokutoge, or "Ten Provinces Pass", got its name from the fact that it offers views facing ten of Japan's feudal provinces: Izu, Suruga, Totomi, Kai, Shinano, Sagami, Musashi, Kazusa, Shimousa, and Awa. On a clear day, you can enjoy 360-degree views of Mt. Fuji, the Southern Japanese Alps, Suruga Bay, the Shonan coast, and the Miura Peninsula. If the weather is good, you may even be able to see the Boso Peninsula in Chiba Prefecture
