What to Expect

Karatsu Castle was created by Hiroko Terazawa, a retainer of Toyotomi Hideyoshi, after referring to the materials of Nagoya Castle. It took seven years to complete the construction of Karatsu Castle in 1602. The Dangjin Castle we see today has been restored. The original castle was burned down due to the war, but the restored castle has reproduced the charm of the past Dangjin Castle. The tower is in the shape of a crane head, and the left and right wings overlook the Songyuan, just like a flying crane. The Maizuru Park surrounding the castle has hundreds of someiyoshino and wisteria trees. When the flowers bloom in spring, Karatsu Castle is surrounded by pink, which is very beautiful. Dangjin Castle, which is illuminated at night, has another intoxicating view.
