Mt. Moiwa is located near downtown Sapporo and surrounded by an old-growth forest. The maple trees' foliage changes color as the seasons change from spring to autumn, and in the winter a white blanket of snow is draped over the mountain. It is a scene of unique beauty that attracts people all year round. Visitors can access the peak of Mt. Moiwa by riding the ropeway and can then take in the full view of Sapporo City from the observatory. The night view is absolutely breathtaking.
