What to Expect

This is one of the few museums in Japan with the theme of foreign exchange history, mainly displaying precious materials exchanged with countries that have frequent exchanges with Portugal, the Netherlands, and China. The main collections started when the Southern barbarians entered Japan for trade in the early 17th century. There are Chinese porcelain, Western cameras, or wine tasting sets that were quite unfamiliar to the Japanese at that time. It is worth seeing.
