"Noboribetsu BearPark" located in Noboribetsu city, Hokkaido is a zoo which started to pasture "Ezo brown bears" in 1958 for the purpose of the observation, the study and the protection.
About 70 "Ezo brown bears" live there freely at present.
In the park, there are a plenty of highlights such as a rare museum specializing in the brown bears in the world, an observation deck where you can look out over the beautiful lake and others.
"Brown Bear Museum" exhibits about 500 documents relating to the history, the habit and the ecology including stuffing and skeletal specimens of the brown bear.
”Yukara Village" stores the precious cultural heritage of the indigenous people "Ainu" and faithfully reproduces lifestyle of the early Meiji period.
"The Bear Mountain Dining Hall" has a variety of menus such as Jingisukan of the specialty in Hokkaido.
