What to Expect
Hokkaido's largest all-season resort is packed with fun skiing! With four gondolas and 14 lifts on three peaks, the resort has laid out 37 courses, ranging from wide, gentle slopes that anyone can ski on with peace of mind to aggressive runs that will satisfy advanced skiers. This resort offers outstanding hospitality, allowing you to enjoy authentic winter sports in a dynamic and comfortable environment.
Mountain
The fun of Rusutsu lies in the fact that there are three peaks within the resort: West Mt., East Mt., and Mt. Isola. Each mountain has its own unique topography, which expands the variety of activities you can do.
Powder snow at Rusutsu
Rusutsu Resort is located southeast of Mt. Yotei. It is in a great location, avoiding the harsh seasonal winds from the northwest, yet still receiving an abundance of dry powder carried by the wind. Furthermore, being close to the Pacific Ocean, the rate of sunny days in winter is high. Powder and sunny days, known as "THE DAY," are not uncommon here. You can experience the lightest snow you've ever experienced under the clear skies of the Pacific Ocean climate!!
Snow Resorts Chosen by the World
Rusutsu Ski Resort is a snow resort that won the top award in the Japan's Best Ski Resort category at the 2021 World Ski Awards for the fourth time in two years.
