Known as Ryogoku Kokugikan, this huge stadium is an integral part of life for the sumo-loving residents of Ryogoku and is the center of excitement for the entire venue. Ryogoku Kokugikan hosts this venue three times a year, in January, May, and September. If you're staying during these months, it's well worth trying to get a ticket. Aside from the thrill of watching giant sumo wrestlers, the fast-paced action, the roar of the audience, and the snacks in the hall all evoke the atmosphere of old Tokyo.
